Ann's Bio:
Hello, my name is Ann. I came to work in Dr. Stuckey's office as an orthodontic team member in January of 2006. I walked in one day in early January to make a payment for my daughter's orthodontic treatment and saw Dr. Stuckey at the office. Dr. Stuckey explained the situation of Hurricane Katrina and the loss of chairside assistants. I immediately volunteered to help out. She asked me if I had any experience and I replied, "I'm just a mother". Dr. Stuckey laughed and replied that "just a mother" includes many skills. As a parent myself with children in braces with Dr. Stuckey I have been extremely pleased and she seems to always go "above and beyond" so I was delighted to have this opportunity to work in the office with her and the rest of the staff.
First of all, let me say that I am a native New Orleanian. I am also a graduate of Ridgewood Preparatory School. I have lived within a three mile area here in Metairie my whole life except for my two years at LSU where I went to study advertising and public relations. It was there I met my husband Eric and we had our two children after the first couple of years of marriage. For many years I volunteered as a coach, room captain, party planner, and many other duties in the life of a wife and mom with two children.
I also taught preschool for about ten years. I absolutely love my three dogs and just don't get me started about "my babies".
After meeting Dr. Stuckey that day in January when the whole city was in disarray and post-traumatic stress after Katrina, I thought this was a good time for a career change. I have thoroughly enjoyed my work here and love every second of it.
